It’s GAMEDAY.
Thirty teams are in action today, and we’ve got a playoff rematch, a game that could be a Super Bowl preview, and the surprise QB of the season so far going up against the No. 1 pick.
It’s an exciting slate of football, and I’m here to tell it all like it’s written in the NFL Script.
It all kicks off at 1 p.m. EST with a playoff rematch. The Los Angeles Rams are heading to Southeastern Pennsylvania to play the Philadelphia Eagles, the reigning champs.
The last time these two teams faced was in the Divisional Round last year, where even with Matthew Stafford throwing for 324 yards and two touchdowns, Saquon Barkley carried the Eagles to a win in the snow. Two fumbles in the 4th quarter were the main reason the Eagles pulled out that game. Don’t know what the NFL was thinking when they wrote that.
Neither of these defenses has given up 21 points yet this season, and both are 2-0. Davante Adams was a force for the Rams last week with six receptions, 106 yards, and a touchdown, and Puka Nacua added eight catches for 91 yards. The Eagles’ defense sacked Mahomes twice and hit him 10 times on 29 pass attempts. The Rams’ rush defense gave up 92 yards to Tony Pollard last week, so I definitely infer a big game for Saquon. It’s gonna be an Eagles win in overtime.
Another very interesting game is the Colts vs. Titans, and Daniel Jones is having the season of his life right now. Cam Ward’s going to have to step up his game. The Bengals have lost Joe Burrow, and the Vikings lost J.J. McCarthy. It’s a backup game in Minnesota this week.
Now the surprising thing that the script has for this week is the Browns winning against the Packers.
Joe Flacco had a very good week 1, but couldn’t follow it with a good week 2. The Packers look like the 2nd best team in the NFC right now, behind the Eagles, and have a real shot at winning the Super Bowl this year. Upsets happens, though, and with Judkins now being RB1 and Flacco coming off a horrible week, I believe in this team.
It’ll be a gritty game, but the Browns are gonna win.
I already talked about the Eagles and Rams, so I do want to keep it out of this game to watch section of this week’s script, but luckily, there’s another great game to watch this Sunday, and it’s in the 4 PM window.
The Broncos and Chargers is going to be a very good game. The Broncos defense really needs to step up from last week, The Chargers are now 2-0, and if they win this week, could really be the AFC West division winner this year.
If you can’t watch the Eagles and Rams play, then this is your must watch game.
And the final game of the day. The 0-2 Chiefs take on the 0-2 Giants. This is the first time in Mahomes’ career that he’s lost 3 straight games in a row, but he has a chance to make it up with a win against the Giants to get this season back on track.
The Giants had a very good game last week against the Cowboys, but the horrible interception at the end of the game ruined Russell Wilson’s best game in his career. They have potential.
The Giants aren’t expected to do great this year, but the Chiefs are expected to at least make the playoffs. It only gets harder from here, and losing makes things a lot harder for them to reach the goal.
The Lions and Ravens game on Monday could be a Super Bowl Preview. Out of all the games this week, that is a MUST-WATCH.
