Agree. Although, the real question would be how much could Hill provide you? He 44 years old and has not played a game this season. You're correct about him being good for the Red Sox, but they cannot bet on this guy. Not everyone can be Justin Verlander even if they're a great player themselves.

Good piece and all great points! the Red Sox have most definately been one of the biggest surprises of the season. they're no quit attitude will go a long way. hence when they came back in the 8th inning on Friday against the Yankees and also when they were down to their last strike on Friday July 5th. In my opinion a good pickup for the Sox would be someone that could come off his couch. Rich Hill. I know he is up there in age but did well for the Red Sox prior and veterans such as him who have performed under the bright lights in October are the type of guys they would want to make a run. A left handed starter, an innings eater, and a veteran presence will go a long way for the Sox hopes on making a run. And as we have seen in recent years the lower seeds who gets hot at the right time have had the most success in October. I'd see a Rich Hill Boston reunion a win-win for the Sox.
