Ja Morant is Back || Eagles Are Bad || Rodgers Not Ready To Return || Brock Purdy is a SYSTEM QB || Who's getting MVP?
Edition #34
Intro
If you listened to Sports Radio this week, I suggest that ya read the first story and then delete it. We’re going to have an All-NFL newsletter and one NBA topic that will appeal to most NBA fans. I’m pumped up because I have a lot to talk about with you guys. Let’s get this started.
(Btw, the votes are in… We will continue using this format. The links you click on for more on the story are also written by me.)
Ja Morant is Back
Mr. Gun Flasher is back in the NBA after his 25-game suspension, and he sinks a game-winner for the Memphis Grizzlies. Like… What?
He started versus the New Orleans Pelicans and got many boos as he was walking on, but if 34 points and a game-winner aren’t enough for you to prove that he’s good, well at a press conference Friday, Dec. 15, Morant said the suspension was “tough” with “some horrible days.” But, he said later, therapy helped him learn “some stuff about myself that I didn’t during that process. Very eye-opening. It kind of gave me a new look on life. How I go about my days. How I carry myself.”
Why was he suspended? Well…
Morant was suspended without pay after two incidents earlier this year when he allegedly flashed a firearm on social media. The first incident occurred in March, and Morant served an eight-game suspension. The second incident occurred in May, not long after Morant admitted his off-court behavior affected the Grizzlies season following their playoff exit to the Los Angeles Lakers.
During that press conference, Morant said he’d “made a lot of mistakes,” including some that hadn’t “even been public, with my family.” But Morant also said he believes his family had grown closer, on top of all the personal work he’d done during the suspension.

Eagles Are Bad
3 losses in a row against teams, they probably might face in the playoffs. (49ers, Cowboys, Seahawks.)
I saw a tweet that said, “The Eagles made Drew Lock look like a competitor.” A 92-yard drive at the end of the game was the one that got them the lead. He only had 96 yards passing before that.
The thing is, the game was not over yet, even if they only had 28 seconds. They also had 3 timeouts and an okay field position as they started at the 25-yard line.

Like, why throw it from the 45 OF PHILLY to the 17 OF SEATTLE?
Elliot can make even a 70-yard field goal. All the offense had to do was move the ball just 15 to 20 yards in 4 to 7 seconds. Call a timeout and hit the field goal. An overtime loss is way better than a loss without a fight. They could’ve won if Jalen didn’t make that mistake.
Jalen Hurts had a lot to say about this. For more info, check this place out:
Rodgers is not ready to return and expects to play past 2024
14 weeks ago, Aaron Rodgers injured his Achilles and was supposed to be out for the rest of the season. During these weeks, he said that he’s healing and if the Jets sit in the playoff conversation, he’ll come back and play.
Last week, the Jets got eliminated.
The New York Jets quarterback didn't exactly say he won't be back this season, but Rodgers, who had his 21-day practice window opened on Nov. 29, said Tuesday that he wasn't near 100% ahead of Wednesday's deadline to activate him off injured reserve.
While the 40-year-old's first season away from Green Bay was spoiled by injury, Rodgers believes 2024 won't be the end of his Jets tenure.
To make long sentences short, this is a small part of what he said.
"I don't think next year will be my last year. ... I feel like I can play more years and I can be effective."

Brock Purdy is a SYSTEM QB
This team wasn’t built around Brock Purdy. The team was built for Brock Purdy. Ya probably don’t get it right.
When you have WRs like Deebo Samuel and RBs like Christian McCaffrey, you have to win. If you don’t, it ain’t your QB’s fault, it’s your WR or RB’s fault. Do you get where I’m going now?
Many people say Brock Purdy should get MVP. I say, should he? Lamar Jackson deserves it more, not being around WR like Deebo Samuel, but like Zay Flowers.
The thing is, the 49ers defense is great, and you can’t deny that. They don’t make mistakes like the Eagles do. They already have that and then a terrific offense as well? Brock Purdy is terrific. I’m not going to say anything about that, but he is throwing to guys that can catch anything, run like anything, moss or headtop like anything. Brock is letting his guys be themselves and the way he throws doesn’t matter.
Brock Purdy is a really good QB. I’m not going to say anything about that. I don’t think he deserves the MVP award, though. Not even Top 3 because if you put him on a team like the Panthers, he isn’t going to generate wins for them. Mr. Irrelevant has the potential to become Mini Tom Brady. Heck, some people even say he already is Prime Tom Brady with the stats he’s putting up. He’s an inspiration to everyone (at least to me) and for sure, the man who lives with a roommate, splits the rent and drives a Toyota Sequoia with a mystery offensive lineman will experience a HUGE change in his life and lifestyle.
Who’s Getting MVP
Personally, I WANT Lamar Jackson to win, but Brock Purdy’s probably going to win. MVP is mostly based on the stats, and Brock Purdy leads in most of them. He deserves it to some extent, but not as much as Lamar Jackson. It’s just like last year when Jalen Hurts should’ve probably won the award, but Mahomes did instead. This is my opinion. We’ll talk more about it when awards week comes nearer, but until then, let’s focus on the race to the playoffs and the #1 seed.
