CFP NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW MICHIGAN VS WASHINGTON. THE BACKSTORY AND WHO'S WINNING!
PREVIEW BEFORE THE BIG GAME! (Not today's edition. Today's edition will be published at 10:00 P.M ET.)
HUSKIES VS WOLVERINES AT 4:20 P.M. PST. 7:20 EST
Number 1 Michigan and Number 2 Washington is the perfect way to end a fun-filled College Football Season which had conference realignments, the transfer portal madness, and a sign-stealing scandal by one of the teams participating.
Michigan
This is also the last national title game before the CFP playoffs expand from 4 teams to 12 teams, so this is going to be a historic one that many young people watching will remember.
“We’re going to have to play really good. And I think our team is ready,” Harbaugh said Sunday during a news conference with Washington coach Kalen DeBoer in which he compared his team to a pack of wolves and once again dodged questions about his future.
Michigan’s season started with Harbaugh serving an NCAA-related suspension, and it ended in the same way. The suspension at the end of the season was because of in-person scouting and “sign-stealing” which broke the Big 10 sportsmanship policy.
This happened at the biggest point in time in Michigan’s schedule, and many people questioned Michigan’s “dynasty” over these three years. This is their third appearance in the CFP playoffs, but their first win over Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
Washington is also built similarly and led by a star who no longer has eligibility in NCAA after this season.
His name is Micheal Penix Jr.
He is from Florida and started his career in Indiana and already has a win against Michigan in his college career, but he transferred to Washington.
After four injury-heavy seasons in the Big Ten, he at last became the star he was supposed to be in the Pacific Northwest, and even with stats like this
he was still runner-up for the Heisman Trophy, and after he threw for 430 yards in the Sugar Bowl versus the Longhorns, he had many voters questioning their decision about that Heisman Award.
“Man, it’s a dream come true. To be honest, I’m still wrapping my head around it,” Penix said.
Penix decided to come back to college for another year instead of going to the NFL draft, and many of his teammates followed.
The CFB got tired of the same teams qualifying for the playoffs every single year, so the 4 team playoff will go out just the way it came in, with the Big Ten vs Pac-12 championship. The Huskies will try to win the Pac-12’s first national title since Southern California in 2004. After this year, the Huskies will join the West to East or East to West or Coast to Coast. Whatever you wanna call it. Big Ten Conference.
So, who’s winning?
The experts say Micheal Penix Jr’s Washington Huskies
I say
Micheal Penix Jr’s Washington Huskies.
This guy is an MVP to me and should’ve won the Heisman Trophy. Michigan will be tough, and I really want to roll with the defense stopping Penix and the offense, but 430 yards against the Texas Longhorns is a bit too much to not take them. I will also go into the future and say that the New York Jets or Minnesota Vikings pick him in the NFL Draft.
I want your picks as well! Comment down below and tell me who you think will win the National Championship!
I want Michigan to win! I dont like Washington, they beat one of my two favorite teams (LSU, and TEXAS LONGHORNS)
